Romanian Speaking Customer Service Manager - Remote

Do you have experience in customer service with excellent fluency in Romanian, English and possibly Hungarian? Do you possess extraordinary communication skills and want to work in a rapidly growing online startup?

Then we are looking for you!

We are Paylike, a Danish Fintech startup helping eCommerce businesses all over Europe accept online credit card payments.

We are a small team of developers and online nerds building our startup with remote team members all over Europe.


Your primary task will be to help our Romanian-speaking customers (eCommerce merchants) work with the Paylike platform and ensure they live up to the standards set forth by Paylike. We are looking for someone with the following qualities:

  • Excellent skills in both written and spoken Romanian, English and possibly Hungarian
  • Highly familiar with the digital sphere
  • Experience with customer service and perhaps sales
  • Good analytical skills

We do not have formal educational requirements, but if you have studied or are currently studying within the fields of economics, accountancy, law or business that may be an advantage.

The job

You’re going to be part of a small startup, meaning you must be able to adapt to a constantly changing environment. Your tasks will in the beginning involve:

  • Customer service
  • Onboarding of customers
  • Sales and contract proposals
  • Compliance checks of customers
  • Documentation and composing of internal processes

The job is remote. All that is required is a proper internet connection and a telephone. You will be expected to be available during business hours of 9 till 16 CET. We are willing to sponsor a coworking place.

Even though the job is remote, you will still see your colleagues! We have regular workcamps and as an introduction, you will meet our team in person either at your location or at our headquarter in Aarhus, Denmark.

The job is offered by our Hungarian legal entity and as such it is a requirement that you live and/or have your primary address in Hungary.

Salary and starting date

You’ll be given a competitive salary. As the company grows and you create value, your salary will follow.

We expect you to start as soon as possible. If you are currently in a position you can’t leave immediately, we’ll work out a solution, which may include working fewer hours the first month until your current contract ends.
